The New Friday
Thursdays have been the new Friday at Dirty Bones Kensington since a talented friend swung by our basement and made love to a microphone. Live Music Thursdays were born and we haven’t looked back since that first bittersweet work hangover. Considering our West London crew have been basking in those soulful subterranean Thursdays for some time, we only thought it fair we spread some of the lyrical joy.
So, last Friday saw the first in an exclusive series of Live Music Nights to hit the bar at Oxford. As we drag our heels into fall, you Oxford babes can find Friday night comfort in old school hip-hop, funk and current gems rendered with powerful, stripped-back vocals from the likes of Ruby Confue and Alex Francis. Classic soul, urban jazz and Motown. Music so warming it'll ease the post-heatwave heartbreak of summer ’18.
In short? Fridays as they were supposed to be: full of nice people dancing to good music.
Oh, and, in case you needed any more excuses, the series ties in neatly with our Late Night Cocktail Hour, which kicks off every Friday & Saturday night from 9pm ‘til close, and includes select £5 signature cocktails, house spirits, fizz, wine and beer.
Real talk. Live Music Friday is the new Friday.
